I'm not really sure why babiepebbles is being told she is wrong and needs to leave?! What she said makes perfect sense since women only carry the x chromosome and men carry x and y. Therefore, the egg doesn't matter where gender is involved only the sperm does. I hope I'm not being ignorant and that I missed something in all of this. I am just a little bit confused!

The sperm does determine x or y that's true, but some people also think the woman's body may play a role, for example her being acidic or alkaline might favor one gender over the other.

Im not sure why Ive got an abusive pm saying I am igorant for only quoting what I was taught in Science. Infact they still teach that fact that women only carry the X chromosome and men carry both X and Y so maybe you should direct your anger at the scientists who discovered this. I am not ignorant for having a bit of knowledge infact its the other way round here!

WTF? She is stating a scientific FACT. It is the sperm that determines the sex. My goodness, why would she have to leave? I have seen people on here be downright insulting and never have been asked to leave. That is just unbelievable.

This is so not true!!! Where did you get any of that information???? You are dead wrong!!!
This is true 100% the man carries the sperm and the sperm are either male or female the mans sperm collides with the womans either an Y or an X which determines the gender and each man has equal number or near it of the gender it is all based on luck mostly and which sperm is able to survive.

I don't think the acidity theory is true for all people. My half sister is very acidic, she tried to sway girl and was sure it would be a piece of cake because her PH level is so low. She was wrong, she had another boy much to her surprise. I guess you get what is meant to be born regardless of you sway or not.

I definately believe that and maybe the universe has a different plan you never know why it ends up that way, but you could be mommy to the next positive influence/world leader so why be disappointed when you can smile and wonder lolz
