I've heard this is often the case, that an early BFP (ie before 12 DPO) often means you're having a girl and the later your BFP arrives means you're having a boy!
Is this true for anyone here??

It's been true for both my babies...With DD I found out before I missed my period and with DS I checked 2 days before I missed my period it was negative then checked 4 days after my expected priod and it was positive. Good luck!

I would have to disagree, I got a BFP at 8dpo with this baby......I have a 12 day LP so I would say 8dpo is early. This is baby boy #3

Good to know girls, thanks. Anyone else? I can't really say from my previous pregnancies as I didn't test until the first day after I missed my period by which time they were both very strong + results.

i'm going to disagree i have 4 girls and never found out early with this one i was 11 dpo so i'm keeping my fingers crossed its a sign for me anyway that its my boy

Definetly disagree my beta's was thru the roof with my last two pregnancies, one girl and one boy.
Our precious baby will arrive in these many days via C Section (Sept 20th)

Hi Phoenix - sorry what are 'betas'? (Jeez, I should probably know that as I've been on this site/forum for soooooo long?!)
The doctor check blood levels and its called betas or hcg.
Phoenix - how many DPO were you when your doctor checked your betas for both those pregnancies??

With DD 8dpo.

Not true for me. My last ds was an 8dpo (maybe 9) bfp and my oldest ds was 10dpo.
Mom to 5 gr8 kids and 1 on it's way
