I ordered bamboo inserts.... uh oh

 So I just recieved 4 bamboo velour inserts that I ordered from etsy.  Oh man!!! these things are SOOOOOOO soft.  I cannot imagine a softer material.  

Why can't I just be happy with my stash???  I find something that I love, and that works great.  But after a few months, I start getting bored and want to try something new.

 I know what you mean... I already want to try a little bit of different things. Right now my stash is only the prefolds- the thirstie duo wraps and the flips and that one sweet doll baby, but I want to get some microfiber to put on top of the prefolds to help keep her tooshy dry and I'm itching to get a few other covers/diapers to test out..

I'm the same way - I feel like I need to try every new diaper out there!  I have a good start - I have a pretty big stash and I don't have more than 3 of any one diaper! What I've found most gratifying is getting to be a Tester - so far I've been a Tester for 2 new GroBaby products - you get the items for a deeply discounted price and you get to be one of the first people to try them out!

Oh, and just a quick note - you don't want to put microfiber against your little one's skin - it can irritate.  If you want a stay dry barrier, your best bet is fleece.  I went to a fabric store and bought a remnant for $1, cut it into rectangles the same size as a trifolded prefold, and there's no need to finish the edges because fleece doesn't unravel or fray.  The best part of fleece is that poop doesn't stick to it, so even mushy, sticky poops can often peel right off into the toilet!

I had a bunch more different types of diapers... but I sold most the ones I wasn't using on diaperswappers.

I don't even have one CD yet and my list is a mile long!

Thank you for this, btw! I totally meant to say that earlier but got caught up in something. I think I got the two mixed up, so you saved me money buying microfiber thinking it was fleece LOL. Is it usually a fleece top that are on pockets? That keeps her tooshy pretty dry. I love the prefolds, but was thinking maybe a thin barrier to just keep moisture off and maybe to collect the poop for an easier rinse would do some good. I'll check out fabric and see what I can do as far as trimming and making something out of that. Good suggestion.
