Taller women get more girls?

I guess the truth to any old wives tales depends on which old wife is telling the tale.

I am 5ft and have 3 boys and 1 girl.
was blessed2havekids..changed username!    
 
(My tubes were tied during the c-section/birth of my daughter so we are done havin kids...still have mixed feelings of being done at 23.)

I know lots of moms with 2 girls and they are all different heights. So, I think this is an old wives tale.

I'm 5.9 have 2 boys and a girl soon, my other friend that is 5.7 have 2 boys also. All other friends are 5.4 or smaller and they all have girls..... I always thought that it is the other way around.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad day. I wish your thoughts were true!! I would love to be tall, sadly I'm 5"2!!! and guess what.......3 girls for me :)

Well I have never considered myself tall but I am 5'7". I have 3 boys and soon 2 girls. My tallest friend has 6 boys and 1 girl. My next tallest friend has pigeon pair, next tallest 2 girls 2 boys, next tallest 1 boy 2 girls, next tallest has 2 boys. I don't think it matters personally how tall you are, but that's just my oppinion.

My best friend is 5'9" with one boy and one girl, and a good friend from high school is 5'11" with one boy, and is also pregnant (doesn't know the gender yet). Also, I am 5'6", and don't consider myself tall (taller than average, yes), but I have 4 boys and one girl.

I doubt there is truth to this. I am 5'7 with a boy and a girl on the way.

Two more examples...my great-grandmother was nearly 6' tall (old age has shrunken her height some), and she had two boys and one girl. My other great-grandmother was 5'11" with two boys and a girl as well.

I am 5'3" and I have one girl and another on the way. I know several women my height with girls, yet I also know several taller women with girls. Yet again, I know taller women with boys, and women my height with boys as well. I think it is just coincidence.

I hope this isn't true. I'm 5'1 and if so I'll never have a girl :( But of course my mom is only 5'2 and has 2 boys and twin girls. Her mom is really tall thought she's 5'10 and has 4girls and 2 boys.

I'm not sure if height really plays a part but I am only 4'11 and am about to have my 3rd boy, my next door neighbor is 5'0 with 2 boys and my cousin is 6'0 with 2 girls. Probably a coincidence but I do see what you are saying. Actually Kristendoggirl posted a study that shows that in general taller parents tend to have boys (of course this is on average, not a rule).

I wish it was true..well kinda, as well. I am 5'4 in with 4 boys then a girl. My bff is 5' and has 3 girls and a baby boy.
