When you didnt O in your attempts, how much does that help when swaying girl?

I didnt O in our attempts, how much does that help sway girl more? Or doesnt it make such a big difference?

 I think it helps alot that you didn't because when you do it creates an alkaline environment which favours boys.

 I didn't O with DS2 and it's a boy! I don't think that works. 

I O'ed and still got a girl!!

I O'd with both boys, did not O with my angel dd!  the other day I checked my ph prior to....and it was 4.5....I then checked it after the big O....no insemination from dh....and my ph shot up to 6.0-6.5....imagine if DH's alkaline semen had been added!!  That confirmed it for me.  No big O if your prone to having boys and you want a girl  ;) 

 I orgasmed twice the day I conceived my girl, so obviously I don't believe it's determined the gender of my child.

DH and I tested this O theory using condoms to avoid the added pH increase of semen.

When I didn't O, pH stayed the same: about 4.

When I did O, pH increased to a 7!!!

Since pH is such a huge factor in swaying- it's obvious that it would be better to not O and keep pH as low as you can.

You can always test it out! (What fun!) If O's for some odd reason don't increase your pH then feel free to O.
But, when you find that your pH does spike, at least you will feel a little bit better knowing that this "abstaining" is for the sway... another torturous part of the sway!

overthewind: Sorry if I wasn't clear! I just meant that DH and I BD'd using a condom so that when I tested my cm pH- it was only my pH- not his and mine combined. That way I could see what affect the big O would have on my pH. So with no O my pH stayed around 4 which was my normal. But when I did have an O, it spiked to a 7, meaning I was suddenly more alkaline (as the theory goes) and thus boy sperm friendly!

Wow - I'm amazed there was such a jump in PH.  I would never have thought it made THAT much difference!

For ree-aal! I know, I was totally surprised at the huge jump!

 Maybe the pH spike was just me- maybe that's normal! Try it! I'm sure you can talk your man into it! My DH loved the idea! :)

Yes. If you have a Hanna tester (I don't, but so I've heard), you can see the gradual incline of the cm pH until ov and then it will drop afterwards.

I only have the universal test strips which are good enough to tell what range you are in- but not specific like, 4.2, 7.9 etc. That's why some girls will say a very specific number and others will only give a range, "It looked like a 7" or "between 4-5".
